Spring
has finally arrived! There has always been something about Spring that makes
me feel renewed and my spirits soar. Perhaps, it is the hint of freshness in the
air after being cooped up all winter long and the longing to be outside to enjoy
the brisk cool weather. Whatever it is, doesn't the thought of warmer weather just
around the corner, fill you with all sorts of expectations and possibilities? It
does for me. The outlook is certainly a lot more cheerful these days than perhaps a few months ago. Even consumer spending is
slowly rising as the news that the
recession is possibly headed out the door. And that's great news. But perhaps, some things may never return to normal but for today, I'm
grateful for what I have.
Speaking of things to look forward to, yes, there's taxes that are due by April 15th, of course. Then in May, we celebrate Mother's Day on the 12th and also Memorial Day on the 27th. But it really doesn't have to be on these special occasions to visit your favorite tearoom or explore new ones. Take your mother and/or a friend or two or make it a group outing. Perhaps just go by yourself to get away from the daily grind and enjoy yourself. We all need some alone time sometimes and browsing through the shops in these tearooms is a wonderful time spent. Perhaps a trip to Europe! (See Springtime Specials for more info). Anything is possible.
If you've not
been back to our website since your last visit, please visit us again. We've
added a couple more new sections under Shopping called "Something
Iowa" and "HomeStores
Galleria". There are both
still in the early stages and our hope is that as time goes by, we will have a
whole lot more to offer. We have also added a Get Map link for your
convenience in getting to these tearooms. We do hope that

Marjorie's Tea House, located in Mason City, IA is serving High Tea on April
8th, May 16th, June 20th and July 18th at 3:00 pm. They'll be serving a four

they have Easter bunnies on display (no, not real ones). If you're
thinking of an early vacation, Thymes Remembered is also planning a return
trip to Europe, June 8 - 16, 2002. The travel includes England and France.
Having lived in London and Wales for 10 years, the places that they're planning
to visit is definitely worth the cost and experience. Brings back fond memories
